FDIC DEPOSIT INSURANCE LIMITS
FDIC Deposit Insurance Limits will remain at the $250,000 per depositor level through December 31, 2013. The change became effective October 3, 2008, when the FDIC temporarily increased from $100,000 per depositor to $250,000 per depositor and later extended this new date in 2013. It has been announced... On January 1, 2014, the standard coverage limit will return to $100,000 for all deposit categories except IRAs anc Certain Retirement Accounts, which will continue to be insured up to $250,000 per depositor.
